Spirit Beast

From King Of Kinks
Jump to: navigation, search

Introduction[edit]

The heavenly beasts shall appear in turn, with a different beast appearing every day. A player may challenge a beast twice per day after it appears. Failed challenges or exiting during a battle will not be counted towards the daily chances.

Every spirit beast comes with different difficulty levels. The player must finish the current level before the next difficulty is unlocked. Every difficulty has a level cap. Heroes over the level cap will be adjusted down for the fight.

Killing the spirit beasts yields rewards. A failed challenge will yield nothing.

Cinnabrite Toxicant Increases the Energy of all heroes by 100 at the start of each round
Lingguang Self ATK increases by 20%

Strategy: Crowd Control (Paralyze, Stun, Silence)

Recommended Heroes:[edit]

Tier Crowd Control DPS

Note1: is DPS with +20 weapon or above and with anything less.
Note2: is Crowd Control with +20 weapon and with +30 weapon, but not usable with anything less.

Team Building:[edit]

This fight will require anywhere from 1 Crowd Controller (if using ) with some possible fail-RNG wipes to 3 Crowd Controllers (1 stun, silence and paralyze user each). The more Crowd Controllers you use, the less your damage, so this fight is about finding the right balance. is the best DPS here, particularly when her weapon is +20 or above, and you can use a team that revolves purely around supporting her with damage (i.e. + ). Alternatively, you can use a combination of 2 to 4 DPS from the tier list above, combined with enough Crowd Control to keep the team alive. Of note, when using at around lv 180 and 5-star, she will be lower speed than the boss at Vermillion Bird rank 8. This reduces her crowd control effectiveness unless a team slot is reserved for to boost her speed.

Tier Magic/Elemental DPS Survival

Note1: is DPS with +20 weapon or higher, and with anything less.
Note2: is Survival with +30 weapon, with weapon +20, and with anything less.
Note3: is Survival with +20 weapon or higher, but with anything less.

Team Building:[edit]

This fight will require elemental or magic damage, plus survivability through a somewhat-AoE (2 random targets) physical dmg stomp, and a normal attack. Units who rely on critical hits (usually Rangers) for damage will also suffer here since the boss has 50% Armor which will reduce incoming critical hit rate by 50%. The hands-down best choices for DPS are persistent (long lasting) elemental damage dealers like and , followed by short-term elemental damage dealers, followed by single target focused magic damage dealers. Because elemental damage is so strong, is often a very effective addition since she deals her own magic damage, as well as boosts the elemental damage dealt to the boss. is notably strong in this fight, as once the boss is burning it deals -50% physical damage while still offering some damage towards the fight as well, but can be used as a survival replacement at the cost of her contributing zero damage. A tank is typically required, but a strong support with a can often times take the normal attacks and survive.

Strategy: Tanks

Recommended Heroes:[edit]

Tier Tanks Support

Note1: rises in tier up to with weapon level upgrades all the way to +30, but is with no weapon.
Note2: can be used in slot 1 to take an early shot to buy time and apply a poison stack to kill the boss before his final turn.

Team Building:[edit]

This fight is really all about surviving for about 8 or 9 turns while the boss takes damage every turn until it dies. There are generally only a few team compositions for this fight that work for rank 9. The first strategy involves a strong in slot 2 to take all of the hits and self-heal while being supported by 3 healers who can keep her at max HP. This strategy can be used all the way through White Tiger rank 9, but will require her to be increasingly stronger for each boss rank. The next strategy is to use a relatively low-star in a position behind another stronger tank to split the damage taken. The main tank will survive easier with Doreen sharing damage, but the remaining tanks or supports must be strong enough to share the damage taken, so this may not work with overly weak 5* support units behind the main tank. The last strategy is to simply combine many tanks who can survive at least one hit each to delay the boss long enough to survive 8 or 9 turns. This can be quite difficult to pull off against Tiger rank 9, who has very strong attacks, and can require very high resource usage on multiple tanks. and have the most difficulty surviving at least 1 hit against White Tiger rank 9, but can be used to tank lower boss ranks.

Tier Back Row DPS Survival

Note1: is high when paired with a source of shock (typically in slot1 with at least +1 weapon) and +10 weapon or higher, but may drop toward high without these 2 conditions.

Team Building:[edit]

In this fight the boss is protected by 2 front row minions who are effectively invulnerable. The main damage dealers must have skills that consistently deal damage to the back row. This boss' damage includes a magic attack on 2 random targets and a normal attack, which tends to be a bit lower damage than most other Spirit Beasts. Units that consistently attack the back row like , spread elemental damage like deal some of the most consistent damage. is also great damage because she has a high chance of hitting the boss with her normal skill, and her ultimate will also target the highest HP target, which is almost always the boss. will target the lowest HP target with her ult, always connecting with the front minion, but her normal skill will consistently target the boss and can she can be pumped up with ATK support. deals some good damage, but only if she is paired with a source of shock which is usually , and her damage is further increased by her weapon upgrades. For survival, tanks the boss just fine while also being able to use her ultimate skill on the boss, and can petrify the boss when she is targeted by the boss' skill, but be careful if you're using a physical damage source as it will reduce the physical damage taken while the boss is petrified. is an excellent choice for all around support.

Note: is DPS with +30 weapon, and low with anything less.

Team Building:[edit]

This fight centers around dealing physical damage, since the boss is highly resistant to both magic damage and elemental damage. This is the most difficult Spirit Beast fight (especially at rank 9) mostly due to the lack of physical damagers that are available to average players, and also because this boss hits very hard. or some other source of stun will be very necessary to reduce the incoming damage enough for supports to get heals out. should be the focal point of DPS for most teams. Her damage can go up significantly once she reaches +20 in her weapon, as the Dragon should spend a decent amount of time stunned, allowing her to accumulate stacks of bonus Critical Damage. This will be the primary way of dealing damage to this boss, but additional damage is typically needed. Because the above 2 units are Penglai Island faction and mostly mandatory for the fight, is an excellent support choice for her life drain and Penglai Island bonuses to ATK/Healing. and are notably strong against this boss, but expensive to get star ranks on. is a strong damager, as long as there are continuous sources of weakness debuffs which are generally applied by most of the high tier survival role girls. is typically one of the more widely available physical damage dealers, but her damage is not that great against this boss, but will be necessary in many teams that lack whale characters. is very strong in this fight as she significantly lowers the boss' ATK power to prevent deaths, heals fellow Warriors, deal her own damage, and speed debuffs the Dragon to help ensure whichever source of stun is being used can act before the boss. The best supports are typically since they can ATK buff , but they will need some stars to best survive. Utilizing a support or with a as the tank can help raise overall damage while still surviving.
