Story

Originally named Garcia, Kikyo was once a member of the Serpent tribe. The Serpent tribe had a long custom of letting babies as young as three years old touch the skins and even the bodies of different snakes, so they could get used to handling live snakes from an early age. As a former member of the tribe, Garcia used to touch the snakes. As a child, she did not resist touching snakes, but when she grew up, she found out that the tribe drugged the snakes with sedatives, which she found inhumane and disgusting. This attitude made her very unpopular in the tribe. Eventually, Garcia grew sick of the situation, and she left the tribe to venture to Penglai Island to start a new life. Shortly after she arrived on the island, she found a wounded Shiba Inu and decided to take care of it. Garcia named the Shiba Inu 'Fuku'. Mihime, who was passing by, saw Garcia adopt the dog, and immediately admired Garcia's compassion. Garcia decided to stay on Penglai Island, changing her name to 'Kikyo', the new name that Mihime suggested for her. Training Shiba Inu to fight on Penglai Island soon became part of Kikyo's job. After a period of training, Fuku, who had been small and fragile and often bullied, was not only able to kill in battle, but also transformed into a strong man like the cat fairy Chizuru, and thanked her every night with his huge dick.

Summary

This girl is still being tested, tier ranking is subject to change.

TLDR: Kikyo is an S-tier single-target damager that excels against Warriors, Tanks, and Mages, with decent capacity against other classes. She deals consistently high single-target damage, but her random targeting can sometimes hold her back, but also means she cannot be hard-countered.

Breakdown

Kikyo operates somewhat similarly to Ayano, dealing large single target blows to random targets. The biggest difference between the two is that Kikyo deals more consistent damage per round, but can have her damage reduced against high speed targets. Kikyo's normal and ultimate skills target a random single-target, and gain skill damage multipliers based on how much more speed she has than the target. Since Kikyo has the highest speed of any unit in the game once she is 12*, she will almost always get some kind of bonus since she cannot be weakened to reduce her Speed. Both of her active skills have decent capacity to 1-shot low speed targets, especially if she crits. This can get a bit difficult to predict in boss battles without experience to determine what the boss' speed is.

Kikyo's 1st passive boosts her own Speed by up to 25% and makes her immune to weaken effect. It cannot be stressed enough how good this passive is for her. Since it is a passive skill, it cannot be dispelled. Because all speed debuffs are considered weaken effects, she cannot be speed debuffed to reduce her damage. But the immunity to weaken also makes her unaffected by PDmg reduced by Eimi Fukada and many other key debuffs, allowing her to damage unabated. The speed boost also ensures she deals some damage to other Rangers, minus Ayano who also has her own personal speed buff. Her passive 2 is also strong, but only works in non-boss fights, reducing its usefulness a bit. Whenever Kikyo's HP drops below 70% of her max, she will apply a team-wide weaken effect to the enemy team to reduce their speed by 70% for 3 rounds, increasing her damage significantly across the board. This effectively works as a once a battle burst window.

Kikyo's weapon further increases her damage by applying even more damage to targets under the influence of a Control effect (silence, taunt, stun, paralyze, charm, etc). This makes her pair fairly well with units like Asaka, Luna, Jihkuang, Katherine, Rin and many others who can provide this coverage.

Best Parings

Flag DPS Attributes

Best DPS Flag Stats: Physical Damage > Critical Damage > Hit Rate > Normal Attack Damage
Reasoning: Physical Damage will apply to all of her damage sources, while Critical Damage will only apply when she lands a critical hit. Hit Rate can bring the rate of landing normal attacks to 100%, guaranteeing she can always trigger her weapon effect if the target is in a control effect. Kikyo gains no specific benefit from Normal Attack Damage, but it is a slight boost in damage.

'I never thought that he who was so old would persist in waiting ten years for my return.' - Odysseus Loyalty and trust have always been part of the relationship between dogs and humans. Even so, in times of chaos, this relationship had not yet become a force to be reckoned with against powerful enemies. So while all the clans on Penglai Island had their own weapons to fight the foreigners, Kikyo and Fuku only had each other to rely on. They lacked the overwhelming power to fight, and were sometimes bullied by the cats who had settled on Penglai Island earlier, which made life difficult for them. Rumours of their being bullied soon reached the ears of Mihime, but instead of offering to help, she took them on a trial called the 'Hyakkiyakou'. The 'Hyakkiyakou' took place from time to time in the mountains. Those undergoing the trial had to face ninety-nine demons, each one unique and powerful, including those of the cat race. If the challengers failed to defeat these monsters, they would be killed. Any challenger who died during the trial would become a part of the Hyakki and revive all the monsters at the same time. This trial was so difficult that anyone who succeeded in completing the challenge would have a place in history. The monsters would recognize the challengers' strength and give them rewards as tribute. Kikyo and Fuku went to the mountain for three days and three nights during the 'Hyakkiyakou'. After the third night, when people thought they would not return, they returned to Mihime with the dog's collar and a strong magical power radiating from their bodies. People were curious about what had happened during the Hyakkiyakou, but Kikyo only answered: 'I only know that I was protected by Fuku when I lost my consciousness, and when I came to, I had already left the mountain.

Summary

Kikyo's weapon gives her extra damage against enemies under the influence of a Control effect. This includes Stun, Paralysis, Silence, Petrify, Taunt, Halt, and Charm. Units with these control effects in their skills should be built into the team with Kikyo whenever possible to allow her weapon to deal maximum damage. It applies the hit to the target whenever she attacks them. This works on normal attacks, normal skills, and ultimate skills, so the damage can add up if reliable Control effects can be applied to the targets she may attack. At +30, her weapon gains the passive skill of immunity to taunt. This is one of Kikyo's weaknesses as a random target based damager, however this currently only helps her normal skill against Asaka and Luna, and her ultimate skill against Luna.

Technical Details

Damage spread: The damage on Kikyo's weapon effect takes the calculated damage and spreads it according to the damage ratio across all hits of Kikyo's attacks (1 hit for normal attack, 3 hits for her normal skill, and 2 hits for her ultimate skill).

Immunity to taunt: This acts as a passive skill, so it is always active and cannot be dispelled.
