Story

Rangiku is a trained killer that sometimes uses her charm and beauty as weapon. She will kill anyone that stands in her way, man or women alike. While one Assassination mission, she loves using her long hair to tie up the enemy's arms and legs. However, if she releases him and proceeds to conduct wild sexual intercourse. One day, the guild's administrator told Rangiku that she had recently acquired a set of daggers with strange patterns on them. It was rumoured that demonesses would enchant their weapons to enhance their power, and these two daggers, shining with a faint blue-purple colour, were the enchanted weapons of the ‘Great Demoness Claire’, but they had somehow ended up in the wild. The enchanted weapons had a profound connection with the enchanters and can lead their bearer to the enchanters. Upon hearing the word ‘Claire’, Rangiku's blood was already boiling, so she bought the daggers without a second thought and followed the rune's guidance on her quest to find Claire.

Review

TLDR: Rangiku is a counter-play unit designed to prioritize and shut down enemy mages. Her damage when no mages are present is generally above average, making her a good choice but less optimal than some other choices like Olivia or Meiyueh. Her weapon passively boosts ATK and grants +35 energy after every attack (+30), significantly raising her total damage.

Technical Details

While Rangiku isn't a bad unit, even for F2P, most F2P will struggle to ever prioritize resources towards her. This is primarily because she finds little use in PVE, and most of her use in countering Mages in PVP. F2P who do invest in her may find her useful, but it usually isn't a good early investment to make as F2P. If the player is certain they won't build her soon, they can even consider foddering her. When using her, the and both perform well.

Rangiku will be necessary to counter some team make-ups where removing a Mage will weaken the team enough to break it down. This can be versus passive damage teams using , counter-PDmg teams using or counter-MDmg teams using . Rangiku should not be most whale's first choice for investment, but they will typically need her eventually if trying to be competitive. If Rangiku's weapon is maxed, she typically performs best with the , but if her weapon is not maxed, then she will perform better with or , depending on the situation.
